River of Love

Let the river of the Father’s love flow
May all the bitter roots of rejection go
Our hearts cry Spirit bring the Father’s love
Open the heavens fall from above

Cut off all rebellion that might be there
All the aggression and anger that might flare
We choose a new path the way of peace
May your river flow and bring release

Teach me to forgive all that hurt me
And in forgiveness be fully set free
From our ivory tower to climb down
Instead may the songs of freedom sound

Banish any fear of me being cast away
Of being frightened of what people may say
And all these emotions buried below
May your Spirit release and let them go.
